The Taste of Mills 50 to be held on Saturday, October 22 will be rescheduled for early 2012.  Stay tuned for the new date and location! 

Join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orlando Fire Chief John Miller and Orlando Police Chief Paul Rooney as they remember and honor those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of 9-11-2011.  The memorial ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 11 at 6pm at the Lake Eola Amphitheatre.

The Cracker Swamp Stomp for Hands on Wildlife is Saturday, August 6 starting at 2pm at Will’s Pub and Wally’s Mills Avenue Liquors. A $5 donation will help support Hands on Wildlife.  Hands on Wildlife mission is to preserve the Earth’s diversity with the use of “hands-on” education, enlightenment and entertainment.   LIVE GATORS will be on display at Wills along with lots of other wildlife. You can see and feel the animals that Hands on Wildlife is trying to help! The animals will be in a non-smoking, covered outdoor music area.

The City of Orlando is hosting “Fireworks at the Fountain” on Monday, July 4th.  Its a celebration of fun, food and fanfare at Lake Eola Park!  Enjoy live entertainment and an area just for kids.  Festivities begin at 4pm, so get there early for a great viewing spot of the fountain and the fireworks!  The fireworks will begin at 9:30pm.

And while you are at Fireworks at the Fountain, be sure to purchase a souvenir made out of remnants from the original and iconic Lake Eola Fountain.  All proceeds from the sale directly benefit the Orlando Community & Youth Trust, Inc., a non-profit organization created to support the mission of the City of Orlando’s Department of Families, Parks and Recreation.
